Lisa has been HR Manager at virtualQ since February 2022. She studied psychology and graduated with a master’s degree. At virtualQ, Lisa works in recruiting new employees and is the contact person for any concerns of our team. At the Teamdays in Mallorca 2022, Lisa conducted a short interview with us in which she gives tips for job applicants!
Sum up our work at virtualQ in three hashtags!
The first hashtag is #trust. From the very beginning, you will be trusted at virtualQ. So you will quickly realize that you get responsibility from the first moment and can become part of our team. The second hashtag is #openness. We have a very open company culture where feedback is valued. Accordingly, we are also happy if you are an open person. The third and final hashtag is #teamwork. We work very closely together as a team and these three aspects are also for me the reason why I very much enjoy working at virtualQ and enjoy going to the office. This makes us very special as an employer.
What are your hobbies?
In my free time, I like to do spinning and barre training, which is a combination of Pilates and functional training. The discipline I build up from this helps me to carry out recruiting processes and find the right employees for us, even if it requires several rounds of interviews!
Why did you decide to work at virtualQ?
After my studies, I still wanted to learn a lot, so I joined a start-up immediately. There I have the opportunity to be in close contact with my supervisors and give my own input, which helps the company! At virtualQ, this is exactly how I wanted it to be. My input is valued and my supervisor sits directly in the same office as me!
Do you have any tips for applicants?
When you apply to virtualQ, you should know that we are not only interested in your hard skills. We believe that you can learn on the job and therefore we are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone who can identify with us and our product and also stands by it! You can learn everything you need for the job, but you have to bring the interest and enthusiasm for our product! Your mindset is the key.
